Support our Mission

Momentum Magazine is an independent financial literacy platform that was initially launched in February 2025. When we first started publishing, we were a team of five that wanted to emulate top business news platforms as teenagers.

We soon found that our initial approach did not work for our target audience - teenagers. More importantly, we were using a model designed for 50-year old CEOs, not the average teenager that's saving up money fr a new bike or deciding what their major will be.

Our survey found a correlation between students' self-reported financial literacy and their frequency of reading business news - that's how we adapted our platform for change

After surveying over 170 teenagers from around the world, we found that their most pressing need was financial knowledge. 75% did not feel ready to lead an adult financial life, challenged by a lack of reliable and accessible resources that would give them a foundation for lifetime financial literacy skills.

That's why we decided to completely redevelop our brand, collaborating with mentors from top business journalists to expert financial planners, to create the new Momentum platform - one which integrates skills-based financial knowledge articles with the latest from our newsfeed. Each newsfeed article links back to one new way a teenager can make a better financial decision. With our 300-word rule, our articles remain accessible for all readers.

Our goal is now to engage with as many teenagers as we can with our platform. We want teens from everywhere to have access to this resource, and to use it however they can. We recently crossed our first 100 visitors in November 2025, and can only grow from there.

Any teen can use and adapt Momentum for their community. We're always looking out for new people to support our mission and students. That's why we have resources like our:
